During his 20-year tenure as CEO of WELCOA, David assembled and led a board of directors that included CEO's and difference-makers from Johnson & Johnson, Arthur Anderson, KPMG, Central States Indemnity, InterMountain Healthcare, South Denver Heart Institute, Morehouse College, Strategic Air-Command, Burson-Marstellar, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Seagate, Sun Life, UNC-Chapel Hill, John Alden Life, Jackson-Kelly, Fortis Health, The Center For Social Responsibility, and the Department of Health and Human Services.
With expert insight from his board, David’s team refined and perfected an operational framework that grew a small, startup company with less than 200 member corporations into a market-leader that had more than 5,000+ by the time David retired.
Through disciplined execution, unswerving accountability, and unfailing customer-service, David’s team successfully delivered 171 consecutive months of net profitability before his departure in mid-2015.

As the founder and former executive editor of WELCOA's business and health publishing line, David understands the power of words that work.
Producing and publishing a wide-variety of well-being and employee performance improvement manuals, newsletters, behavior-change guides, and brochures, this unique undertaking sold millions of copies each year to organizations like Union Pacific Railroad, CALPERS, and The Mayo Clinic Foundation.
From 2004 to 2015, David was also the chief-architect and executive editor of a line of performance enhancement books designed to help employees thrive at work. Collectively, these books sold more than 2 million copies.

Using a carefully developed, proprietary approach to executive coaching, David works side-by-side with his clients to help them create a bold vision and an aggressive, insanely-detailed strategy to get it done. Then, through co-active coaching, the necessary leadership capabilities are developed and mastered to ensure that all project priorities are successfully executed.

Prior to becoming the CEO of WELCOA, David was a faculty member at the University of Nebraska and the founder and Managing Director of AHR, Inc.--an entrepreneurial health communications company.
David and his wife Britt enjoy reading, working out, reading, traveling, reading, spending time with friends, and reading.
